the room was huge, with generous space with a sofa and chairs seating area. a separate dining area was also available (really handy!). the view over the rooftops toward the firth of forth was amazing. i liked the authentic decor a lot.
Help with luggage was offered, but i did not receive any assistance up the stairs. i managed it alone, but it would have been greatly appreciated.

Excellent Suite Experience

spacious suitelounge areanespresso machine
the townhouse suite was quite spacious for my family of four. the lounge featured two single beds that conveniently folded down from the cupboards. this design preserved an enormous lounge area with beautiful bay windows. there was also a nespresso machine available.. i found that very useful.
the doors downstairs made consistent banging noises early in the morning. this noise impacted my ability to relax fully.
Service

Rooms
10/10

Adequate stay overall

amazing bedbeautiful spaceample roomconstant bangingdownstairs noisedisruptive sound
The bed was amazing and gave a good night's sleep. The furnishings in the room were beautiful and well-kept. I also appreciated the spaciousness of the suite .
The banging of doors downstairs was constant early in the morning. I counted many bangs in just one minute, disruptive. The noise from the landing doors and entrance below the suite made getting ready difficult.

Acceptable Stay

The staff were notably friendly. They provided many recommendations for local attractions and dining. Our room featured two single Murphy beds for the children. A master bedroom offered additional privacy.
I found the towels consistently dirty after each change. I noticed fresh spots on them. This occurred more than once. The hotel should clarify it is a guest house not a hotel in advertising.
